Yes, Barack Obama "socks" John McCain! I got this email today at the radio station, the CONSERVATIVE TALK RADIO STATION that I work for.
I don't think she knew whom she was sending this to, probably just did a radio search on Google.
So, turns out she's just a PR person for the sock company. She of course did not want to go on the air with a CONSERVATIVE WACKO!
I love radio!
Oh, just in case you want the socks: www.swiftwick.com look for the obama socks.

Lynching is OK Right? Obama? Palin?
Imagine the outrage if this were a house in, say, Virginia or Western Pennsylvania, heck how about George Fox University and the Halloween "decorations" were of Biden and Obama. I doubt the defense of "free speech" would fly and the homeowner would more likely face some sort of federal hate crime. But since this Californian is only "hanging" Gov. Palin . . . nothing wrong here:
A mannequin portraying U.S. Republican vice-presidential nominee Alaska Governor Sarah Palin hangs by a noose as a mannequin portraying U.S. Republican presidential nominee Senator John McCain protrudes from the chimney of a private residence in West Hollywood, California October 27, 2008. Part of a Halloween display, the likenesses drew complaints on Monday, but local officials said the homeowner was covered by free speech rights.
So, is lynching ok even in effigy? Anyone remember the George Fox story a few weeks ago? Why is this one ok? Why isn't the ACLU all over this?
Because the WHOLE FREAKING COUNTRY HAS GONE MAD!!!

2001 Interview with Barack Obama: He's A Communist!!
Most of the major talk shows have been hitting this hard today but in case you missed it:
Now, in a bombshell audio interview just discovered buried in public radio's deepest vaults, solid evidence has emerged that Obama truly does believe in a socialistic redistribution of wealth.
This tape provides the smoking gun evidence of Obama's real political views that his critics have been seeking for well over a year.
The video, currently available on YouTube (at least until its pro-Obama censors remove it, that is). Obviously coming at a time before Obama was on a presidential political trajectory, the then-state senator is overt in his push for outright radical socialism, if not marxism.
During the interview, Obama and a caller discuss how to most effectively bring "redistributive change", telling her that the legislative process is more effective than the court system for creating economic "reparative work".
The radical rhetoric heard in this interview is in sharp contrast to the carefully-chosen words used on the campaign trail. It exposes Obama's true fringe-extremist agenda, but it's up to talk radio, blogs and outraged voters to spread the word.

One Network vs. Sarah Palin
NBC and MSNBC have gone to "all out war" against Sarah Palin.
Most of it smacks of "meow" as in cat fights, which of course ALL guys love and so the ratings are great.
Seriously though, the network folks at NBC have figured out that they don't have much to fear from John McCain. He will always work with the Dems to get whatever he needs, that's just the way he is, but this "crazy lady from Alaska"? Now that is a problem for them.
What happened to the Feminist movement?
For 40 years they have shoved "women's empowerment" down our throats and rightly so, but now for the FIRST TIME a woman, a woman governor mind you, is on the ticket of a major election and they have bailed on her!
Where is Gloria Steinem?
My personal opinion: ugly women hate Sarah. Sorry, but I have noticed that ALL of the female anchors that have blasted her are sort of.....well. homely.
Sarah is intelligent, gorgeous, men love her, and the feminists hate her. Why? You tell me!

Fairness Doctrine and my Job as a Radio Talk Host
If you at all follow my comings and goings you know that I am a conservative talk host as well as a generally stupid former deejay. I may be stupid but I ain't scary and I ain't hurting anyone.
The "Fairness Doctrine" scares the poop out of me.
If Senator Obama is elected, I stake my life on the inevitability that my "voice" will be removed from the airwaves.
Here is a sample of the Liberal Left's thinking on this subject and I invite you to Google "Fairness Doctrine" and see what you find. Not only is this Senator a moron, but he is sticking his fat liberal mind into an area that he has NO BUSINESS being in!
I have said it here more than once, you have a CHOICE! Turn off the radio or tv or change the station. That is the ultimate in Democracy. Don't do business with the advertisers. Whatever you want, but don't take away FREE SPEECH!!!
With the possibility of a Democratic Party supermajority after the upcoming elections, Jeff Bingaman may soon get his wish to quash dissenting viewpoints.
During an interview with KOB/ Albuquerque host Jim Villanucci, Bingaman overtly stated his full support for imposing Fairness Doctrine restrictions on free speech which would effectively shut down talk radio as we know it today.
If enacted, the Fairness Doctrine (which is anything but) would create logistical nightmares for radio programmers, leading quickly to shuttered stations. The need to "balance" every viewpoint presented would also destroy the entertainment value of talk radio, driving away the audience.
In a stunning on-air admission of his desire to re-regulate radio and infringe on free speech, Obama supporter and New Mexico Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D) argued recently that the so-called Fairness Doctrine -- which would mandate equal time for opposing viewpoints on radio programming -- would elevate talk radio to a "higher calling." Bingaman lamented that radio without the "Fairness Doctrine" has become less "intelligent."
A transcript appears below (emphases mine):
JIM VILLANUCCI, KOB radio host: Talk radio listeners are concerned about the Fairness Doctrine. Do you think there will be a push to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine?
Sen. JEFF BINGAMAN (D-N.M.): I don’t know, I certainly hope so. My own view is—
VILLANUCCI: You support it?
BINGAMAN: I do.
VILLANUCCI: You would want this radio station to have to change?
BINGAMAN: I would. I would want this station and all stations to have to present a balanced perspective and different points of view instead of hammering on one side of the political—
VILLANUCCI: In this market for instance you have KKOB. If you want liberal talk you have Air America in this market in this market. You’ve got NPR. If you have satellite radio there’s a lefty talk station and a righty talk station. Do you think there are people who aren’t able to find a viewpoint that is in sync with what they believe.
BINGAMAN: Well, I guess my thought is that radio and media generally should have a higher calling than just to reflect a particular point of view. I think they should use their authority and their broadcast power to present an informed discussion of public issues. KKOB used to live under the Fairness Doctrine—
VILLANUCCI: Yeah, we played music.
BINGAMAN: There was a lot of talk also, at least it seemed to me. And there were a lot of talk stations that seemed to do fine. The airwaves are owned by private companies at this point, there is a license to given to private companies to operate broadcast stations and that’s the way it should be. All I’m saying is for many, many years were operated under a Fairness Doctrine in this country. I think the country was well-served. I think the public discussion was at a higher level and more intelligent in those days that it has become since.

Black Obama Voters Fooled by McCain questions
I am NOT a Howard Stern fan, but this is so freaking obvious it is sick. Howard sent "Sal" to Harlem to interview Blacks on Obama. They substituted McCain's policies for Obama's and even say "Obama's VP Pick Sarah Palin"! They still say they vote for Obama! Who's the racist? White Republicans or Black Democrats? You listen and decide:

Farrakhan on Obama: 'The Messiah is absolutely speaking'
This is very very scary! Conservatives are the ones being accused of calling Obama "The Messiah" in jest, but here is video and audio proof of what his followers actually believe!

How LOW can you GO?
So, how low will it go? The NYSE that is, Dow Jones?
The fear has gripped not only our economy but worldwide trading is insane. Markets world wide are crashing.
So, is this part of the "end times" scenario described in great detail in Daniel, Ezekial, the minor prophets and of course Revelation?
I don't know for sure, but with this and the absolutely SUDDEN rise out of nowhere of Barack Obama (no I don't think he is the Anti-Christ, he is just a guy who mirrors very closely how quickly and easily the REAL anti-Christ will rise and fool many people, especially the Church!), it is both scary and exciting as Christians.

Portland Trailblazers feature Bill on their Website!
Ok, not a great picture but I am not real tech savvy so just took a screen shot of the page. Click on the picture to make it larger.
When the Blazers came to the station last month I didn't know they would feature it on their website.
You can see the complete story here (you will have to cut and paste this link into your browser):

Anti-Abortion Group Wins Fight for 'Choose Life' Arizona License Plates
WASHINGTON — An anti-abortion group has won its long legal fight to force Arizona to issue "choose life" license plates, and the proposed new plates could be available to the group's members within several months.
The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday left in place a January ruling by the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in favor of the Arizona Life Coalition.
The Arizona Department of Transportation said it would "quickly and fully comply" with the courts' direction. The department said it would consider what to do next, "including the potential" for a meeting of the state license plate commission to reconsider the proposal.
"We just need that stamp of approval to come, and it really should," said Peter Gentala, a lawyer for the coalition. "There's a record of six years of stonewalling here."
Under state law, once an application for a special organization plate is approved by the commission, the applicant then must either submit 200 requests for the plate or provide upfront money for the state to design and produce the plate.
State law then gives the Motor Vehicle Division a year to issue the plate, but MVD spokeswoman Cydney DeModica said producing a special organization plate typically only takes several months.
The plate envisioned by supporters would have drawings of the faces of two smiling children in an overall design based on Arizona's regular plate. The "choose life" slogan would appear twice, once in a handwritten style below the drawings of the faces and once in a formal typeface below the plate number.
While the case has been portrayed as being centered on the abortion issue, Gentala said the groups that belong to the coalition also are speaking of adoption and other concerns.
The commission's members did not explain the panel's decision to deny the application, but a spokeswoman for Gov. Janet Napolitano later said the proposed plate involved a "very contentious and divisive issue that is not appropriate for a license plate."
The coalition submitted its application in January 2002 and, after the commission denied the application, sued the state in September 2003.
The 9th Circuit's ruling overturned one in which U.S. District Judge Paul G. Rosenblatt said the coalition failed to show that its constitutional rights for free speech and equal treatment under the law were violated by the commission.
Rosenblatt said the commission acted reasonably while trying "to avoid the appearance (of) political favoritism in an otherwise nonpublic forum and maintained state neutrality on the issue, giving neither side a leg up in this hotly debated public question."
However, the 9th Circuit said the state's system for allowing special plates effectively created a public forum for private speech but the commission violated the coalition's right to free speech by turning down its application.
The Arizona commission was created in 1997 to oversee a program for nonprofit organizations to seek authorization for special plates. The requesting organization must meet certain criteria and agree to cover the costs of developing the special plate, which is sold for an additional fee. The organization gets some of that extra money.
Before largely suspending its operations because of the court case, the commission had approved numerous special plates for organizations.
Special organization plates already authorized include those for the University of Phoenix, the Arizona Historical Society and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Some groups in recent years have bypassed the commission and received authorization for special plates from the Legislature.
Special plates approved by the Legislature this year include those for the Phoenix Suns and Gold Star families. Those plates are available to anybody, not just the members of the sponsoring groups.

Former Blazer Helping Kids Get in Shape!
I found this story while researching the upcoming Portland Trailblazer season. It's so good to find some of the great old Blazers from the past still in our community doing good things!
On September 19th, Trail Blazers Ambassador Jerome Kersey, along with members from the PEAK Coalition (Physical Education for All Kids), testified before Oregon’s Joint Ways and Means Committee to secure additional funding for the PE grant bill established last session by HB 3141. The bill is aimed at providing equal opportunities for schools across the state with the resources and training they need to provide evidence-based PE instruction to all Oregonian kids.
Kersey was joined by Oregon State Senate President Peter Courtney and Isabella Acosta Barna, a youth advocate and member of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation Youth Advisory Board, in providing testimony to support the critical need for physical education for kids. “As an athlete and as a father I can attest to the significant life experiences afforded to me and my daughter through sports and physical education,” said Kersey. “I know firsthand the correlation between being physically fit and the ability to perform in other areas of your life, most importantly education, at a high level.”
The results of recent studies regarding childhood obesity in Oregon were what brought Kersey to take a stand. 25 percent of Oregon’s 8th graders are overweight or at risk for becoming overweight and this number has been increasing. The rise in childhood obesity is partly due to the fact that physical education is no longer a mandatory part of the school day. Lack of PE not only leads to overweight, unhealthy children, but also makes children less ready to learn in the classroom. The cost of obesity is alarming: $781 million was spent in Oregon in 2003 on obesity-related medical costs.
Members of the House and Senate were present to hear Kersey’s testimony including Portland-area Senators Margaret Carter and Avel Gordly. “Jerome, you introduced yourself as an ambassador for the Portland Trail Blazers,” Gordly said in closing comments. “I’m sure I speak on behalf of everyone here in saying you are indeed an ambassador on behalf of the entire state of Oregon and we thank you for your years of dedication to service to our state’s children.”

Moderation Necessary
I am currently set to moderate all comments left on this blog.
So, that means you will not see your comment right away, until I log on and allow the comment or not. Why, you might ask?
Because this is MY BLOG and MY WASTE OF AIR (or in geek speak, Waste of Terrabytes or something like that).
I might be a low down dirty lying dog, but NO ONE corrects ME.
It's MY WASTE.
Yes, it is a public internet, but this is MY SITE.
You want to come and play in my sandbox, you better bring nice toys.
This is for the amusement of myself and a few friends and family members.
Just because someone is wasting billions of man hours searching Google for keywords, doesn't give that someone the right to blast away at someone's blog.
You will not be posted here if I don't like it.
In other words, I am going home and taking my ball with me!
Have a nice day, I mean really!

Nehemiah, a man of prayer!
As we study the book of Nehemiah in Sunday School I have found something very cool about this great man. He was an absolute MAN OF PRAYER!
He prayed before EVERY decision, EVERYTHING he did as he led the Remnant of Israel back to Jerusalem and the rebuilding of the city walls.
Look at these verses from the Book, reminder that the book was written by Ezra, as he said: "the words of Nehemiah".
1:4 - For some days I mourned and fasted and PRAYED before the God of Heaven.
4:4 - Hear us, O our God, for we are despised.
4:9 - But we PRAYED to our God.
5:19 - Remember me with favor O my God, for all I have done for these people.
6:9 - But I PRAYED, now strengthen my hands.
6:14 - O my God, because of what they have done.
13:14 - Remember me for this O my God, and do not blot out what I have so faithfully done...
13:22 - Remember me for this, O my God, and show mercy to me....
13:29 - Remember them, O my God, .......
13: 31 - Remember me with favor, O my God!
So, we see that not only was he a man of prayer, but he has such a close and personal relationship with God that he consistently says: "MY GOD".
Read the rest of Nehemiah and you see that God was faithful not only to Nehemiah, but also to the Remnant, as they were blessed through Nehemiah's faith in prayer!
That is a wonderful example for us!
Nehemiah's obedience, led to direct blessing by God.
Look also at his complete understanding of WHO God is:
1:5 - O Lord, God of Heaven, the Great and Awesome God.
These are not random words, this is true FEAR of God, the kind of FEAR that we are to have, which is an awesome sense of wonder and awe.
We often hear preachers, pastors etc, preach on the LOVE OF GOD or Jesus, but not often do we hear our nessecity for the FEAR of God. Nehemiah understood that.
