Now that's change you can believe in!!!
Mick...ha ha ha!!!!! You always make me laugh.
Where is Matt?
I don't know why you think I'm an Obama fan, Amy. Matt.
I am sorry Matt. I was just wondering why you had not posted anything in this area. My bad. Forgive me please.
All is forgiven. I like making fun of politicians. The mask and Bill's expression are funny. I am curious as to why anyine who claims to be Christian would vote for an adulterer who abandoned his wife and kids. I find it ironic...Matt.
Well I sure didn't vote for ol' slick willie, so who is the adulterer?
And my question is, what does Christianity got to do with voting for an adulterer or not? Some of us are actually more intelligent then that.
Some Christians die on the abortion hill. That is the only issue there is in their mind. Fine, whatever.
Some die on the morality issue.
Some die on the "religion" issue.
Some, look at the whole big picture and try to use all the info that is out there, and then ask the Lord for wisdom in making the right choice.
In reality, it really doesn't matter WHO I vote for in the end as God has clearly stated many times that "all authority is in place by Me". God chooses EVERY leader. That means, yes, he chose Adolf Hitler, He chose Woodrow Wilson, He chose Solomon, He chose Mao tse Tung. He chose them all. His hand is on everything in this world.
Now, does that mean I throw up my hands, put my head in the sand and assume God will take care of it all? No, I make my decision, hopefully with His wisdom and then I have peace with whatever happens.
That is the key, Peace.
Peace ain't hippie thing with weird symbol, peace is ONLY attainable through a relationship with the incarnate God, Jesus Christ.
"Peace, my peace I leave with you", "Peace that passes understanding".
There will NEVER be peace as man speaks of on this earth.
NEVER.
I am speaking of peace INSIDE each one of us.
Now, back to the vote: Obama, I believe to be a fine man, who is an agent of change, yes, but not the change I want. He is first and foremost, a power hungry politician. I am not offended by that, you would have to be nuts not to have that desire if you want to run for office.
What I don't like is the blatant attempt to cover that ambition.
Just be honest, I WANT TO BE PRESIDENT BECAUSE I WANT IT!
I have no problem with that.
With John McCain, there is no pretense, he WANTS IT and is willing to say so.
He is not, by FAR my first choice, but since I believe a no vote or independent vote is a waste of time, I will vote my party, Republican and then I will have peace no matter what happens.
Whewww, anyone still reading this is a sick freak!
So...I'm a sick freak?! Thanks for admitting that you vote straight party line. In my opinion, that is ALL that is wrong with our political system and the reasons we are in the current predicament. Voting party line will always get you a George Bush. And by voting Republican the last few years is EXACTLY why we are in this financial mess. Yes, they are to blame as is everyone who voted for them. I didn't notice you put GWB in that box along with Hitler and Mao even though he loves to continually say god wanted him to be president...Matt.
And an Obama joke for you. I would imagine this works for GWB and Sarah...
While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, who's hand was caught in the gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Obama and his bid to be our president.
The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Obama is a 'Post Turtle''.
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was.
The old rancher said, 'When your're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'.
The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he continued to explain. 'You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, and he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, and you just wonder what kind of idiot would put him up there to begin with'.
Matt.
